We cut the drinking straws down to be approximately 3 inches long. On freshly washed, conditioned, detangled hair we used Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie on each section. I did section the hair with a rat tail comb into four sections across the head; one section across the front, one across the crown area and two on the lower part of the head. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the steps used to achieve this style. Each time I took a small section of damp hair and put some Curl Enhancing Smoothie on it and brushed it through with a modified Denman, I then rolled the hair on the straw like you would roll it onto a curler. I secured the hair with a bobby pin which I slipped over the hair and into the inside of the straw. Once I rolled all her hair, we put her bonnet on till the next morning. The following morning we went through removing all the bobby pins and straws from her hair, the curls has to be separated so that it looked finished. Below are pics to the end results.
